Chocolate Chip Banana Nut Bread

Who doesn't love a good banana bread?! I mean really... you can eat it any time of the day. You can top it with a scoop of vanilla ice cream for a simple and delicious dessert or have it ready to grab on your busy workday mornings. Either way you are going to love this!
Servings: 4-6
Ingredients:
1 1/2 cups all purpose flour
1 teaspoon baking soda
1 teaspoon baking powder
1/4 teaspoon salt
3/4 cup semisweet chocolate chips
3/4 cup walnuts, toasted, chopped
1/2 cup (1 stick) unsalted butter, room temperature
1 cup white sugar
2 large eggs
3 large mashed ripe bananas
1 tablespoons fresh lemon juice
2 teaspoons vanilla extract
Preheat your oven to 350°F. Butter and flour a 8.5" X 4.5" X 2.75" bread tin.
Whisk together the first four ingredients to make your flour mixture.
In a small bowl combine your chocolate chips and chopped walnuts. Coat this mixture with 1 tablespoon of your flour mixture. This helps those tasty little chocolate chips from sticking together.
Beat your butter in a standing mixture or handheld until fluffy. Gradually add your sugar until well blended. Slowly add 1 egg at a time. Next add your mashed bananas, lemon juice, and vanilla extract.
Once the above ingredients are well mixed, start to add your flour mixture to slowly incorporate.
Now that your batter is ready pour 1/3 of the batter into your prepared pan. Top with a handful of your nut and chocolate mixture. Add another 1/3 of your batter and top with more chocolate and walnuts. Repeat a third time until all your batter and nut mixture is used. Using a butter knife or popsicle stick swirl your batter to blend in the nut mixture. You want to make sure every bite gets some loving.
Bake your bread for about 1 hour. As you are nearing that hour point, make sure to use a toothpick or tester to see how it is coming along. Sometimes it takes 50 minutes or even over an hour. Cool and Serve!
